Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, enhance user experience, and provide useful information to website owners.

2. How We Use Cookies

Bit Apps uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Ensure the proper functioning of our website
  • Understand how visitors interact with our site
  • Improve site performance and usability
  • Analyze traffic patterns and visitor behavior
  • Remember your preferences and settings

3. Cookies We Set

The table below lists the cookies this website actually sets. Non-essential cookies are off by default and are only set if you opt in via the cookie banner.

Cookie Category Purpose Retention
bapps_session Essential Identifies your PHP session (security, CSRF tokens, admin auth). Required for the contact form and admin area. 30 minutes (sliding)
bapps_consent Essential Records your cookie-consent choice so we can honour it on subsequent requests without re-prompting. 180 days
bapps_pv (beacon, not a cookie) Analytics (opt-in only) When you opt into Analytics, a privacy-friendly beacon records the page path, referrer, and visit duration. No cookie is set for analytics — we store only a hash of your IP (never the raw IP) and no other identifier. This data is never collected before you opt in, and opting out stops collection immediately. Retained server-side for 365 days
(none currently) Marketing No marketing cookies are set. They will only ever load after explicit opt-in. —

4. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use third-party cookies. Fonts are self-hosted on our own domain (no Google Fonts requests), and we do not embed analytics, advertising, or social-media trackers. Should this change, this policy will be updated and any new third-party cookies will load only after you opt in.

5. Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through your browser settings. You can accept all cookies, reject all cookies, be notified when a cookie is set, or delete cookies already stored on your device. You can also withdraw or change your consent at any time using the cookie banner (clear the bapps_consent cookie to re-prompt).

Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of our website (e.g. the contact form).

6. Your Regional Rights

  • European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland (GDPR / ePrivacy): Non-essential cookies require your prior, affirmative, opt-in consent. You may withdraw consent at any time. See our GDPR notice.
  • California, USA (CCPA / CPRA): We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information. To exercise these rights, email contact@bitapps-dev.online.
  • Other U.S. states (VA, CO, CT, UT, etc.): You may opt out of targeted advertising and profiling where applicable; email us to do so.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and, where required, will trigger a fresh consent prompt (policy version 2026-07-17.v1).

8. Contact Us
